While trying to figure out how to illustrate emotion I have been helped (and hindered) by my niece who is one and a half. besides attacking me and making her own additions to my drawings she has inspired my research into this subject. She has no filter on how she expresses emotion, she will let you know exactly how she feels through facial expressions. Over summer when I have more time I am going to make a book for her based on her. I think this could serve as an effective study into emotion and facial expressions and really benefit my practice.
